Seoul City noise punk band Swan Eater has released their first EP “Oblivion Head” and it is going to melt your face right off. With its chainsaw distortion, powerful drumming, and echoing screams, this album sounds like the kind of music your parents have always been scared you’d end up listening to, but don’t let that distract you from what you’re really hearing. “Oblivion Head” is a defiant rejection of the alienation, anxiety, and seemingly indestructible force of depression that the music was born from. Swan Eater rounds things out by mixing in just enough lead guitar and shoegaze walls of sound to make this much, much more than your average hardcore album.
